Configuring the Mid-Mo Connection

Once you have created the connectoid (in the previous step), it needs to be configured.

In the Dial-Up Networking folder, you should now see the icon you created in the previous step called Mid-Mo
With the right mouse button, click on the Mid-Mo icon
Click (with the left button) on the Properties at the bottom of the menu that appears. You will see the screen below (the phone number was entered in the previous step, but you can also change it here):
Click on the Server Type button or tab
Under Type of Dial-Up Server, PPP: Windows 9x, Windows NT x.x, Internet should be selected (see below)

Only the following items should have checkmarks in the boxes next to them: (see below)
> Enable Software Compression
> TCP/IP

Click the OK button until you are back to the Dial-Up Networking window
Right-click on the Mid-Mo icon and left-click on Create Shortcut; click the Yes button on the warning window that pops up (you do want it on the desktop)

Close the Dial-Up Networking Screen by clicking on the X in the upper-right hand corner of the window
You now have a shortcut to the dialer program on your desktop
